Let's Make Waves Together
To make waves for us means to create meaningful, lasting impact—not just in the lives of the clients we support, but within the profession and community as a whole. It’s about challenging the status quo, embracing innovation, and delivering care that goes beyond the basics to truly empower individuals and families.
At Making Waves Allied Health, our name reflects our commitment to making a difference through evidence-based, compassionate, and client-centred practices. We believe even small ripples of progress—whether it’s a child saying a new sound, expressing a thought, or building confidence—can grow into powerful waves of change. Making waves is also about supporting our profession: creating a sustainable, balanced environment where clinicians feel valued, supported, and inspired to continue making a difference every day.

I am passionate about my role and I am dedicated to supporting my clients in their therapy journey to see progress in their goals. Forming strong and trusting relationships with my clients and their families is among my top values and I believe this allows us to move forward together with confidence.
Our Story
Whilst working in various roles in the private sector as a generalist speech pathologist, I struggled to feel truly content with my day-to-day. I encountered challenges working with an incredibly broad caseload that continued to grow in numbers and diversity alongside ever-growing expectations from not only others, but myself as well. I wanted to maintain high standards of quality and see progress for my clients but I experienced significant burnout and overwhelm that began to push me away from the profession I loved. As I changed roles, I noticed patterns where others were placing less priority on therapy quality and clinician wellbeing. The more people I connected with, the more I noticed other clinicians struggling to maintain quality and see real change among their clients whilst getting pushed to the brink of burnout.
Through both professional and self development, I was able to find solutions to my struggles that I couldn't find elsewhere. I identified my specific areas of practice I am passionate about and where my strengths lie in clinical practice. I took control of my job to create a role that truly aims to follow my passion, build meaningful relationships with my clients and utilise the evidence behind our practices to achieve progress in an efficient and sustainable way. My ideas, values and strengths have come together to create Making Waves Allied Health.
