ABOUT US

Professional, compassionate and focused support

Making Waves Allied Health was created in 2025 by a speech and language pathologist - Emma - as a sole trader business. She is a passionate and dedicated speechie who values making strong relationships with her clients. Through various roles involving working with clients across the lifespan, an array of professional development courses and connecting with other speech pathologists, Emma discovered a passion and a unique mission for not only her own career, but also for her clients; one that she didn't find elsewhere.

Her ideas, values and strengths have come together to create Making Waves Allied Health.

How It Works

Referral Form

Complete the referral form on the 'Contact Us' page so we know some basic details about you, and get a general sense of what you're looking for.  We will contact you as soon as possible to discuss whether or not our services are suitable for you.

Phone Consult

If you are suitable for our services, you will be contacted to organise a phone consult. During this call, we will gather more information and give you a better understanding of what the process moving forward will look like.

Initial Assessment

Before beginning therapy, a face-to-face initial assessment will need to be completed. This will primarily involve assessing the client directly as well as gathering further information from parents/guardians and writing a report. This will allow us to develop a plan for therapy that is tailored to the unique needs of the client.

Therapy Sessions

A location will be agreed upon for therapy to be delivered in (e.g. home or school) and steps will need to be taken to organise this. Sessions will be completed weekly or twice weekly and will be conducted in therapy blocks followed by breaks.

Let's Make Waves Together
